OFA Private Backups

An owner-operated recovery tool for OFA’s inquiry records.

This application encrypts a snapshot of OFA’s inquiry database before saving it in the founder’s private Google Drive. It checks the uploaded copy by downloading the encrypted file and comparing its fingerprint. Decryption and recovery testing take place separately on the owner’s Mac; the cloud sender does not hold the private recovery key.

Who uses it

This is a private operating tool for OFA’s founder, not a service that asks visitors or clients to connect their Google accounts. This public page provides app information only. It has no Google sign-in, backup download, account connection or customer-intake form.

Limited Google access

The requested permission is drive.file: access to files created by this application or specifically opened/shared with it. The intended use is only the app-created OFA backup folder and encrypted snapshots. It does not request whole-Drive, Gmail, contacts or calendar permissions.

Current status

A one-time encrypted upload and isolated recovery test have passed. Scheduled backups are not enabled. Unattended operation requires separate authorization, resource and missed-backup monitoring checks. Encryption and verification reduce risk but are not a guarantee against loss or interruption.
